The program’s centerpiece involves 10 high touch areas in the guest room (switches and electronic controls, door knobs, major bathroom surfaces, climate control panels, telephones and remove controls, beds and bedding, bath amenities, hard surfaces, closet goods, and in-room food and beverage products). The program also involves a seal indicating that the room has not been accessed since cleaning, de-cluttering of paper amenities, focusing of fitness centers, increased cleaning of common areas, disinfecting wipes in high-traffic areas, and contactless check-in. Hilton may also be deploying electrostatic sprayers and UV-cleaning products, and is consulting with the Mayo Clinic on cleaning programs, training programs and quality assurance.
